Remembering Eight Revolutionary War Patriots

On September 18, 2021 there was a well attended ceremony to dedicate a William G. Pomeroy Foundation patriot sign at the Old Madrid Cemetery in Madrid.  Through the efforts of the Thousand Islands SAR and the Madrid Historians, a beautiful ceremony was held that also included Nihanawate DAR, Madrid American Legion, Forsyth's Rifles and Col Wemble's 2nd Regt Albany County Militia.  Honored were patriots Samuel Chipman, Oliver Eastman, Joseph Hall, Abiram Hurlburt, Salmon Hurlburt Jr, Thaddeus Hurlburt, Solomon Linsley, and Abisha Packard.
